History & Legacy of Vashi Plaza Cha Raja
Vashi Plaza Cha Raja is organized by Jay Ganesh Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal at Vashi Plaza, Sector 17, and the mandal notes its installation year as 2004. Over the last two decades, this location—right in the heart of the electronics and business district—has turned festival days into a neighborhood reunion: traders, families, delivery boys, college kids, everyone converges here.
Note: Don’t confuse Vashi Plaza Cha Raja (Sector 17) with Vashi Cha Raja (Sector 1), the older city icon started in 1974. They’re different mandals in different sectors.
2025 Theme, Idol First Look & Decorations
From the first-look photo, Vashi Plaza Cha Raja 2025 feels like “Lotus Blessings & Royal Tradition”—a regal Ganesha seated in lalitasana, right hand in abhaya (blessing), upper hands with mace and disc, dressed in gold–ivory with an emerald drape. A vivid lotus halo and teal-gold carved throne frame the idol, while warm front lights with a cool blue street glow make it pop for night darshan. The scale looks grand yet intimate (approx. 12–14 ft with the singhasan). Official theme title, height, and sculptor details will be updated once the mandal releases them.
